Altan stands firmly at the forefront of traditional Irish music—trailblazers who have brought the sound of Donegal to some of the world’s greatest stages, from Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House to Dublin’s National Concert Hall and even Glastonbury. The first traditional Irish band ever signed to a major label, they were hailed by The Boston Globe as “the hottest group in the Celtic realm,” a title earned through decades of vibrant musicianship and cultural pride.
Blending the wild pulse of Donegal fiddle with lyrical beauty and effortless musicality, Altan continue to dazzle global audiences with their Irish-language songs, shimmering twin fiddles and electrifying presence. At the centre of it all is Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh—widely regarded as one of the greatest fiddle players in the world—leading audiences into the heart of their heritage with strength, artistry and soul.
An evening of rare brilliance, deep tradition and unforgettable sound awaits.
Madra Salach Supporting Altan
Formed around 2023, Madra Salach is a 6-piece Irish experimental folk band from Dublin, blending traditional Irish music with modern experimentation and draws inspiration from acts like Lankum and The Pogues, emerging from sessions on Dublin’s Northside.
